The Verdict: Buyer Beware of Misleading Photos, Deep Pockets, and Return Hassles
When it comes to initial impressions, the ColdFire Stealth wallet is extremely well-built and appears to be crafted from the absolute highest quality materials. The carbon fiber and leather detailing scream luxury, durability, and you can immediately tell that skilled workmanship went into its construction. Unfortunately, how it performs in daily practice tells a completely different story.
The Slot Depth Design Flaw: The top outside card slots are a major miss. The slots are engineered so deep that cards drop completely out of sight. Once tucked in, the top of the card vanishes below the edge, making it an frustrating, fingernail-breaking chore to dig them out of your pocket or bag.
Misleading Website Photos: The marketing images on their website paint a very convenient picture of effortless card retrieval, which does not match the reality of daily use where cards disappear too far into the body of the wallet.
Shipping & Return Nightmares
Extremely Slow Shipping: Even though they list shipments originating from Maryland (U.S.A.), it took over two weeks for the package to finally arrive.
The Return Policy Trap: This is the biggest warning for prospective buyers. While items ship domestically within the U.S., all returns are required to be shipped internationally to Bulgaria. Paying expensive international shipping costs back overseas makes returning or exchanging the product hardly worth the price of the wallet itself.
